Last year Maia and Nana, our biology and chemistry teachers, organized a school trip to the Ilia State University Science Picnic, Georgia’s first and only outdoor science fair. Fortunately, I’d already made my interest in science known and I was invited along. The teachers wanted to inspire the students enough that our school could present next year, which is to say, this year. And we did.

This summer, with the support of my school director, the help of my teaching counterparts and science teachers, and urging and aid from Tamuna and Guliko at the Peace Corps office in Tbilisi I finally did it. 29 August 2016 through 2 September 2016 was METS Camp!

I've put off posting about this weekend, but I figure I should say something. I won't be posting pictures here. The timing for that just feels wrong. Read on and you'll understand.

Last up for the Game Review Round Robin is Elthos. I kept it for last since its not just a simple PDF of a game. Elthos is divided into two separate packages. The first is the ruleset: Elthos Core Rules. The second is the website: The Mythos Machine.

Character Growth. There’s two general kinds, but its best dealt with as three kinds. You have dramatic growth, and you have mechanic growth. The latter can be divided into vertical growth and horizontal growth. Each of these has a place in our games, but we normally only deal with one: vertical. In fact, some games actively discourage other kinds of growth, if they allow them at all.
