This second rundown of a bunch of games from the ThreeForged RPG Design Challenge. Upon realization that I may simply not be able to read all of the entries in time for voting, I've started skipping around again.
ThreeForged Review - Entry 01
I've been reading some entries in the ThreeForged RPG Design Challenge. If you haven't heard of it or checked it out, head on over to http://halfmeme.com/threeforged_voting.html. Here's my first installment of thoughts.
The Rocky Mountain Ratmen and the Staff of Geb
Game Intakes
One of the best parts of releasing Krendel as free has been people telling me about their own free and low cost games. This selection expanded with Dave Chapman's RPGaDAY in August, where people share their thoughts and favorites with respect to RPGs, a new theme each day. I wanted to take a moment to talk about some of the games that I have had a chance to read over.
Caves, Honey, and Dinosaurs
A friend recently put this question to me: "So you're telling me you've gone to a land with Tolkien-writing as the norm, large networks of cave cities, recent warrior queens of legend, and mythic shape-shifting knights? Are you sure you're still on the same planet?" Well, I get to add to that list awesome caves, cliff bees, and dinosaur footprints.
