Often when we think healing in fantasy settings we think magic, typically priests of some sort. Where magic can heal, biological technology is fairly advanced in Krendel, thanks in no small part to what some would consider unethical practices by House Karithay and others. With proper development, a medic focusing only on core powers can be a more effective healer than someone with a spell and less investment.
The Guardsman was fighty, of a defensive sort. The Scion was talky, of a high society sort. This week we’re taking a look as someone sneaky. There’s a lot of basic variety here: Assassin, Pickpocket, Spy, but we’re going to look at the Burglar, who is more at home working a lock than working with people.
This week’s character type is the Scion. Where the Guardsman is the professional soldier, the Scion is the professional politician. The most notable Scions are the leaders and administrators of Ravishan’s houses, but anywhere there’s so much as a village to run, a Scion could exist, be it a mayor or a courtier.
